The Digital Polarimeter is an optical instrument primarily used to measure retardation caused by passing polarized light through birefringent material. High-precision angle encoders are utilized to measure angles, and the measured data is directly presented on the display screen. Sensitive color method is adopted to observe internal stress presence. Meanwhile, Senarmont method is used to accurately measure optical retardation of transparent objects.
