Fully Automatic Polarimeter 145 is a stress measurement device that automatically detects the retardation and the slow axis direction of transparent objects, which displays birefringence phenomenon under polarized light. A high resolution camera is adopted to take sample pictures from different angles. By analyzing change in polarization state caused by stress presence with specific algorithm, the optical retardation value will be measured. By applying the retardation to a formula, stress value in the sample will be calculated automatically.
